Part of our everyday experience is the changing of seasons like special days that recall important events in our history. Our experience also includes religious celebrations and observances that honor important events in religious history. This program provides a comprehensive presentation of the special days and seasons of the Church year so that students and parents will be better able to participate in the liturgy with understanding. Engaging illustrations help make the subject come alive, and easy to remember.

A “must” for Confirmation prep, RCIA, and for those of us who just may have forgotten some important ways to participate in the liturgical life of the Church.

Being Catholic: The Creed

This new program provides the fundamentals of our Catholic faith in four concise, engaging and informative segments. Based on Part 1 of Catechism of the Catholic Church, “What Catholics Believe.”

Being Catholic Part 1 will allow young people who have missed out on religious education opportunities to begin to “catch up” with their peers. Centering on the Creed, “Being Catholic” helps prepare for the sacraments of Baptism, Confirmation and Eucharist, and to better participate in parish life. Aimed primarily at young persons, the information contained in this program could also be helpful in RCIC. Includes leader’s guide.

Being Catholic: Worship

Catholics celebrate their faith through prayer and worship. Catholics are a sacramental people who mark their progress through a life of grace with liturgy and ritual A better understanding of Catholic sacramental liturgy can enhance our participation and appreciation of this life of grace.

This new program, Being Catholic: Worship, is designed to provide a basic understanding of Catholic sacraments for youth and adult groups, including Confirmation preparation and RCIA. Eucharist: The Source and the Summit

First Communion: A Family Journey
Produced in cooperation with the religious education specialists at the Silver Burdett Ginn Religion Division, this new program provides separate segments for children and parents. The meaning of the Eucharist, Baptism and full membership in the Church is made clear to both 1st Communicants and their parents. The importance of parental involvement and family activities in preparation for the big day are also provided.

Viewers will see clips from a diverse collection of 1st Communion celebrations gaining a greater sense of the universality of this important step in a youngster’s life.
